Spring 2011 - The windows of the dining room were original to the building. Built in 1924, the original windows were double sash windows with 5 lb weights on each side. After years of painting and age... many of the windows did not open anymore, and some were patched with plastic, and / or wood. We decided to invest in replacement windows, but to save cost... we did the replacment ourselves.

The old windows that were taken out had that nice touch that old glass has, where there are sags in the glass. Knowing that some folks like to have old windows for various projects, we donated them to the Boulder ReStore for them to be repurposed by Artists or other creative folks. In all we had 22 panes of glass, and were able to recycle 14 of them.
